Thank you so much to KULT Magazine and author Pierre Ginouves for highlighting Motorcycle Express Services in this article! We love our riders from around the world and France is one of our most beloved places from where riders come and go to. 

WHATS AHEAD:

Regarding upcoming shipments for motorcycle riders in Winter of 2024 and the upcoming 2025 Season there are updates. 

On August 30, 2024 Motorcycle Express received an email that said...."an embargo on personal effects to Canada effective today and until further notice. Motorcycles fall under personal effects."

Motorcycle Express and the entire shipping industry were awestruck at this sudden halt to our most beloved commodities that we feel so passionately about providing shipping services to our clients for.

For days we researched, scouring through the internet and very little was released about the update.

On September 4th, we came upon this article: AIRCARGO NEWS ARTICLE

The pieces were coming together.  If you read the article it says:

"The development comes as reports have been circulating that two packages containing incendiaries had caught fire within European parcel networks, with German police suspecting they were designed to damage infrastructure." And the list of countries affected by this are listed in that article and are far as well as wide. 

As the development affected all of us internationally, we immediately focused on our current clients abroad to assist them with their pre-planned arrangements in returning to Canada and the USA. 

Canada Transport has officially aligned with TSA in the USA and regulations are very strict. That said, Motorcycle Express and our shipping partners around the world are in communication with the appropriate organizations to look for solutions for the upcoming season. And while we are extremely disappointed that this has evolved, we will not let it defeat our passion to move forward with helping riders fulfill their journeys. 

Updates have been trickling out and there is certain criteria that is set by Transport Canada and TSA that we are exploring to find out what will be possible and permitted legally and with ease. Let us be real, no one wants their motorcycle stuck in customs for any length of time just because we really wanted to ship via air.

Note that shipping out of Canada to Europe is not a problem. This still remains business as usual and we look forward to providing you with this service. We expect to continue our wonderful service out of Canada with our current carriers and are excited as we await the new rates and routes for 2025 that we can offer. 

As we continue our emails, discussions and all further communications; we are planning to move ahead with business as usual. ***** If it comes down to it and if Motorcycle Express cannot offer motorcycle air shipments out of Europe, we will be looking to our allies across the pond that can help you; whether it be via air or ocean. ***** Our mission is to continue to provide you with the highest level of customer service with the services we can offer and additionally the resources for those services that we cannot provide. We serve all of you for the journey so that it can be the adventures that you so passionately embrace the joy of.

We understand it is extremely difficult to be patient with planning while so much depends on the answers we are waiting for. We can assure you that we want the answers as fast as you all do and we will post updates as soon as we have them.
