Understanding Arrival Costs

When shipping your motorcycle internationally, your shipment involves two separate components:

1. Air freight (your shipping cost with us)

2. Local handling, customs, and terminal services at destination - paid directly by you upon arrival or departure.

These local services are handled by licensed customs agents and airport cargo terminals, and are paid directly by you upon arrival or departure. 

We coordinate all local handling and introduce you to the appropriate broker for your specific shipment — so you’re never navigating this alone.

 

Canada (All Ports) - Terminal & Government Fees

All Canadian arrivals include:

• Terminal handling: approximately $205 CAD (2025 reference)

• NAV CANADA fee: Minimum: $7.00 CAD per AWB Or: $0.07/kg

 

Customs Clearance

 

• Self-clearance with Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA)

• A customs broker is not required

Dublin (DUB) — Ireland
Import (Arrival into Ireland)

No broker required in most cases

Riders typically self-clear directly with customs at the airport.

You should bring:

• Passport

• Travel itinerary / proof of onward departure from the EU

Terminal Charges

• Applicable but variable

• Paid directly to the cargo terminal

Export (Return from Ireland)

 

• Coordinated through local export agent

Paris (CDG) — France
Import (Arrival into France) — Broker 1 (Import & Export Capable)

Estimated total:
👉 €410–€450 EUR per motorcycle (depending on final weight)

Includes:

• Arrival fee: €180

• Temporary customs: €60

• Handling: €0.35/kg (minimum €35)

• IBF fee: €135

✔️ Can also support export if aligned from the start

Export (France) — Broker 1 (If Used for Import or Special handling Export situations)

If your motorcycle was imported using Broker 1, export must also be handled through the same partner.

Estimated export charges:

• Return export customs: €60

• Handling: €0.35/kg (minimum €35)

• IBF fee: €135

👉 Estimated total: ~€195–€230 EUR, depending on weight

Export & Reimport (France) — Broker 2 (Export & Reimport Only)

👉 ~€195–€200 EUR per motorcycle

Includes:

• Export customs declaration

• Documentation preparation

• Assistance through airline warehouse

Required for closing temporary import files on return

Rome (FCO) — Italy
Export / Storage / Handling

Handled through local export partner.

Typical charges may include:

• Export coordination

• Airline handling

• Storage (if required)

Import / Export Handling

• Customs clearance: ~£75

• Airline handling: ~£68 minimum or £0.39/kg

• Continuity/admin fee: ~£25

• Export declaration: ~£65

If your motorcycle is imported using a customs broker:

👉 The same broker must also handle your export from that country

This ensures:

• Proper closure of temporary import records

• Compliance with customs requirements

• No delays or issues at departure or re-entry​

• Weekend or holiday arrivals may delay release depending on customs and warehouse hours

• Many broker offices and customs services operate on reduced hours or are closed

​    👉 Weekend arrivals and departures are not recommended
